I was so sorry to hear of Donna's passing. She bestowed so many fond memories, now embedded in my mind: Christmases in Newburyport, sensible wisdom, high-pitched laughter... She and Doug adopted the green parrot Eric had in New York. Visiting the house, I remember the bird dive-bombing us and Donna settling it back down amidst amazing-smelling aromas of food coming from the kitchen...
