Dearest Fred, Angela and Karin,

My sincere and deepest sympathies, I am still reeling at the news of Barbara's passing. I have nothing but the fondest memories of time spent with her and Fred going back my entire life...my cousins, both Barb and Rosemarie always made me feel welcome and part of the family. Like their mother, I always felt loved and good about myself after time spent with them. The saying about not remembering what people say or do but how they made you feel rings so true with Barbara and all of the Caruso's. (although I have many many good memories) Time and distance can never take that away from me, I am truly blessed for having their spirits be a part of me. Love and hugs to all the families. May she rest in peace.

Dear Freddy, Angela, Karin,

I am sorry for your loss. It is sad to see Barbara go, but just reading the condolences and talking with my family puts a smile on my face. Barbara was many things to many people, a mother to Angel and Karin, a loving wife to Fred, and to myself, a wonderful, kind and caring neighbor, who was always there for my family, letting my brother and I sled down the hill in her yard, helping out my mom and dad whenever anything came up. We didn't even need to ask for help, Barbara was always one step ahead, always dropping by to give some cat treats or just ask how everyone was doing, just random acts of kindness. Sometimes, she would stop by with just a simple flower she had picked, just to let us know she is right there for us, always ready to help. One could not ask for a better neighbor. Although Barbara was a lot of things to a lot of different people, the one thing she was to everyone, was a loving and caring soul who put others before herself, and she will always be remembered that way, by everyone who knew her.

May she rest in peace, and may god bless her and all of you in this difficult time.

Your neighbor,
Steve Flynn

Barbara and I met when I adopted a deaf white cat by the name of Sammie. Sammie was quite the character, and thru Sammie Barb and I became friend, which in turn got me to volunteer at the shelter, and care for another cat Mr. Red a Thyroid kitty! I spent many years as a volunteer, even after Barb became ill and could no longer help. You were a wonderful women Barb. You will be missed! RIP MY FRIEND

Barbara was a dear friend of ours and we will miss her greatly. Barb was the foster mother of our first kitten orphaned in Hurricane Bob before he found his home with us, and was a godmother to all of our other cats.

I feel so blessed to have known Barb. She had a very special spirit and a true, unconditional love for animals. My first cat was adopted from her. His name was 'Frankie' he also passed away this year... Barb named him because she discovered that he really enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra at the shelter. I will miss hugging Barb every time I would see her. I hope there are animals in heaven.

Fred and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She would stop by the barn weekly to leave my horses carrot tops from Marini's, she left cut up carrots last Wednesday. They loved seeing her come, then she would make sure to leave treats for the barn cat too. Always thinking and caring for God's creatures.. I'm going to miss seeing her.

Dear Fred, Angela, and Karin,
Barbara is missed dearly by the Garry family. We have so many fond memories of her. She was such a loving friend who was always there to care for our pets, send treats for the kids and leave sweet messages in our mailbox. I'll miss our conversations and visits. So grateful for our last time together sitting in the sun, chatting and admiring my hens. Love you, Barbara.
Sincerely,
Brigid

Dear Fred, Angela and Karin - I will give thanks on Thursday for the beautiful 32 year friendship I shared with Barbara. Over the years, we created a little bit of a footpath in between our yards - so many back and forth visits! Lenny, Kevin, Stephen and I have so many fond memories of her. She loved us and we loved her.

She gave me a pumpkin every fall, tea every winter and flowers every spring. She gave cookies to Kevin and Stephen when they were growing up and gave treats to our pets.

I miss you Barbara. Love always, Doris
