Has it really been a year since our community lost Sam?? She is truly missed. I worked a few doors down from Sam's tanning business for many years. She always had a friendly smile and a positive energy that was infectious to the rest of us. My thoughts to her family & friends. ~Heidi

"What Cancer Cannot Do"

Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the Spirit.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Sam at Pete Mack's surprise 40th birthday party. She was so engaging and welcoming. I wish we could have talked for hours that night; two hours simply were not enough! If there is any comfort in her passing, I pray that it is in knowing there is one more angel in heaven who will stop at nothing to ensure that her loved ones are happy and content and fulfilled.

Sammy was a beautiful young lady, aways smiling and fun to be around. I was sad to hear of her passing, RIP Sammy and thank you for the great memories!

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Like so many who knew Sammy I know words at this moment are of little use to explain the pain and sorrow of her passing. My heart goes out to her family and to her love Mark. It is undeniably hard to see through this curtain of grief but I know every single one of us feels deep down we are all better people for having her touch our lives. God has taken his angel back, too short, too soon. Love you Sammy!
