Mary Elizabeth O'Brien

Mary E. O’Brien died peacefully on January 8, 2016. Daughter of the late James P. and Eva M. O’Brien, sister of the late David, Jean and James O’Brien and Alma Tobiasz.

She leaves her sister Alice Perley Reed of Rowley, brother Alfred O’Brien of Spring Hill, L, sister-in-law Shirley O’Brien of Rockport and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was born May 1, 1933 in Lynn, raised in Ipswich and long-time resident of Brookline. She worked in banking for many years. She graduated in 1951 from Ipswich High School and attended Boston University’s College of Liberal Arts.

At Mary's request, Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the New England Homes for the Deaf, 154 Water St., Danvers MA 01923.
