Donna Louise Jalbert

Donna Louise (Scahill) Jalbert, 69, of Stratham, NH, passed away with her family by her side at Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, June 5, 2022.  

Donna was born August 19, 1952, the daughter of Robert and Louise (Miedzionoski) Scahill of Peabody, MA.

Donna graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, MA, and then went on to attend Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett, NH where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. She further pursued her education at Salem State College where she attained a second degree in mathematics.  Donna loved to be an educator and spent her professional career teaching mathematics to high school students, most recently at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute from where she retired in 2016.  When it came to being a loving wife, mother, and Grammy, no one did it better than Donna. She was always a calming presence, and although she loved spending time with her family, she was also perfectly content reading or doing Sudoku puzzles.

Donna is predeceased by her parents.  She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul Jalbert of Stratham, NH; sons, Christopher Jalbert of Methuen, MA and Joseph Jalbert and wife Mandy (Panos) of Georgetown, MA; and daughter, Jessica (Jalbert) and husband Joseph Connolly of Seabrook, NH; along with her three grandchildren, Thomas (10), Isaiah (4), and Ella (3); and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 4-7 p.m., at F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Saint Mary’s Church, Main Street, Rowley. Burial will follow at Rowley Burial Ground.
