Mary Helen (Wickenhiser) McKenzie, 74, of Middleboro, MA and formerly of Rowley, and Stoughton passed away late Thursday evening, January 7, 2016 at her home. She was the widow of Paul McKenzie who died in 2009.

Mary Helen was born in Salem, December 30, 1941 to her late parents Bernard and Anne (Griffin) Wickenhiser. During her working years she had been employed at various places including Savage Seafood in Rowley, Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton, and as a bus driver which she enjoyed..

She was a kindhearted woman who welcomed everyone into her home and her heart as well as welcoming handicapped children into her home for holidays. She loved watching movies, spending time with Paul, family and friends. She loved holidays and birthdays with her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the Rowley V.F.W. Post #5707 of Rowley where she enjoyed playing keno and socializing with her friends.

Mary Helen is survived by her children; sons, Sgt. John McCarthy of Dover, MA, Timothy McCarthy of Stoughton,MA and Thomas McCarthy of East Bridgewater,MA; daughters, Lisa Black of Stoughton,MA, Mary Ojala of Middleboro, MA, Anne Carberry of Milton,MA and Caroline Mitchell of Rowley,MA. She also leaves many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Jack Wickenhiser and sister, Audrey Shea.

Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 1:00PM in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. A Period of visitation will be precede the funeral from 10AM to 1PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Main Street Cemetery, Rowley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mass. Hospital School, 3 Randolph Street, Canton,MA 02021.
