Kent David Kehs, 77, of Glen Street, Rowley, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Brigham Manor in Newburyport. Kent was the husband of Judith (Jacobson) Kehs. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 6, 1938 to his late parents Warren F. and Pine (Anderson) Kehs.
Kent attended the William Penn Charter School and graduated from Middlebury College where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. During the Cuban Missile Crisis he served as an airborne intelligence officer at Fort Bragg. Kent was the owner of Hannah Shop in Beverly where he worked for the past 40 years as a fine art restorer and custom picture framer. He was a member of the Rowley Country Club. An avid golfer, Kent enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and nature.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Scott Anderson Kehs and daughter, Deborah Ruth Kehs (Barbour) and husband Abel Barbour and their daughter Rosemary Opal Sophie Barbour all of Rowley. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Anders Jacobson, his wife Nancy, nephew Paul Jacobson and his wife Eliza, their children Taryn and Trey, nieces Susan Jacobson and Laura Jacobson and her son Gabriel
Visitation with family will take place on Friday, February 5, from 5-8 p.m., in the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley.
