Glen R. Perley

Glen Perley’s life was cut short in a tragic car accident on Rt. 95 in Newbury, MA on March 30th. Born March 17, 1962 in Ipswich, MA, Glen was the youngest son of the late Robert & Evelyn Perley of Rowley, MA.  

Mr. Perley graduated from Triton Regional High School in 1980. Northern Essex Community College Business/Materials Management.  He began his career in 1979 at N.E. Engine Corp. in Rowley MA, where he met Doreen Ricker.  Married on July 14, 1984, Glen embraced Nicole Tucker (Lord) and Aron Tucker, as his very own children, at their young ages of 4 and 5.

Glen forged a career in the HVAC/mechanical insulation and distribution industry. Working his way through the ranks at Homans Associates in Wilmington, MA for the past 19 years, his final role, Director of Sales.  Previously, he was Manager of Sales & Distribution at Zampell Companies / Zartech in Newburyport, MA from 1989-1997.

In 1999 after raising their children, Glen and Doreen moved to Kingston, NH settling their empty nest on the edge of Kingston Lake. The lake became Glen's sanctuary; his favorite place in the world was viewing the sunset from his dock. He enjoyed jet skiing & boating, taking long rides in his jeep and relaxing with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Doreen, daughter, Nicole Lord and her husband Travis of Easton, PA; Aron Tucker and his wife Rosalie of Fremont, NH.  Brother David Perley and his wife Julie of Rowley, MA. their children David J. Perley and wife Raven of Rowley, MA, Meghan Calix and husband Cristobal of Rowley, MA, Kerri Kelleher and husband Christopher of Salisbury, MA. Brother Robert Perley Jr. and Sister Carolyn Perley of Kennebunk, ME, their children, Cheryl Desprez of Salisbury, MA, Scott Perley and his wife Karen of Sandown, NH. His sister Linda Haley and husband Geoffrey of Kennebunk, ME, their children Geoffrey S Haley and friend Carrie Ciccone of Leominster, MA, Jennifer Kirkbride and husband Kevin of Kennebunk,ME. His sister Gail Messelaar of Danvers,MA, her children Jonathan Messelaar and his partner Bryan Levis of Plaistow, NH, Matthew Messelaar and his wife Amanda of Dover, NH, Alycia Messelaar of Danvers, MA. His sister Susan Hawkesworth of Rowley, MA, her daughters Lisa Hawkesworth of Newbury, MA. Christine Marshall and husband Daniel of Salisbury, MA. Several beloved nephews and nieces will miss their uncle Glen deeply.

Calling hours will be held Friday, April 8th, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the F.S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent St., Rowley, MA.  A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 9th, at 1:00 p.m. at The First Congregational Church of Rowley, Rowley, MA.
