Veulah Hawkins Obituary

Veulah (Courage) Hawkins, 89, of Tampa, Florida, died peacefully at Melech Hospice House in Tampa, FL on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. She was the wife of the late Charles Hawkins. Veulah was born in Everett, MA on October 26, 1929. Daughter of Raymond and Veulah (Crowell) Courage.

The Courage family moved from Everett, MA to Rowley, MA.

Veulah graduated from Newburyport High School.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Merriam of Dade City, FL; several grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Patricia Courage of Ipswich, MA; several nieces and nephews.

Veulah was predeceased in death by her son, Charles Balser, Jr.; six brothers, Norman, Richard, Raymond, Frederick, Edward and Donald Courage.

A private burial was held at Main Street Cemetery, Rowley.
