Susan E. (Eckert) Leach of Rowley MA, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late James Leach.
Susan was born on May 26, 1942 in Melrose, MA, daughter of the late John and Shirley (Day) Eckert.
Sue graduated from Newburyport High School, Class of 1960, and earned an Associate Degree from Westbrook College.
Susan was employed at Newbury House Publishing in Rowley for many years. She also worked for Susan Bristol for 20 years. Her favorite job of all was working as an Administrative Assistant in the Town Clerk’s Office for the Town of Rowley. She really enjoyed helping people and having conversations with fellow citizens.
A devoted wife, mother, aunt, she loved all the children so much; they always brought her so much joy to watch them grow up. Sue also loved visiting Walt Disney World with many happy memories with family and friends. There will never be a trip that we will not be thinking of her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer; son, Steven and his wife Kelly; her sister Linda and her husband Jack Cook, brother, John and his wife Sheila Eckert. She loved all her nieces and nephews, Michael and wife Linda Cook, Suellen and husband Kevin Desjardins, Jack Cook Jr., Christine Cook, Janet Morrill, Judy Leach and Russell Pflughaupt. She was blessed with several great-nieces and nephews along with great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Cheryl Perry.
