Rev. David P. Squire

Rev. David P. Squire passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 75.

Born on January 18, 1946, to Maynard and Dorothy Squire, in Manchester, NH, he grew up in Hooksett, NH, attending Hooksett Village School and Pembroke Academy. He went to Gordon College in Wenham, MA, where he sang with the Gordon College Choir and the Varsity Quartet. Later, he graduated from Berkshire Christian College with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.

 While at Berkshire, he sang with the Sands of Time Quartet. In September, 1966, he married Jean Watts of Cumberland, RI. They recently celebrated their 55th anniversary.

David pastored churches in Schenectady, NY, and Atkinson/Hampstead, NH. He served as Worship Leader at churches in Waterbury, CT, Portsmouth, NH, and Melrose, MA. He also worked as a Technical Writer for many years at EG&G, Perkin-Elmer and GE.

David is survived by his wife, Jean; his daughter, Jenny and her husband, Rick Castle; his 3 sons, Jonathan, Joshua and Jeremy Squire, and daughters-in-law, Marge Squire, Tiffany Skogstrom, and Johanna Hulme; and eight grandchildren - Race Traver, Joshua Misiano, Benjamin Misiano, Dallas Castle, Parker Castle, Phoenix Castle, Dakotah Squire and Victoria Squire; a great-granddaughter, Luna DiGianni; and 2 sisters – Judy Elwell and Janice Erskine; and seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald Squire, and his parents.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., at F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, MA, followed by a service of remembrance from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Please wear a mask to protect yourself and others.)
