Melissa Todd (Stackhouse) Peabody, 60, of Georgetown, MA, passed away peacefully, with her children by her side, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
She was born May 29, 1961, in Portland, ME, daughter of Gage (Todd) Stackhouse Myott and the late Paul L. Stackhouse.
Melissa grew up and spent much of her life in Rowley, MA. She attended Pine Grove School and was a graduate of Triton Regional High School class of 1979.
She was a well-known waitress at several local restaurants, most notably the Agawam Diner. She made friendships with both coworkers and customers that she cherished. In addition, she was a CNA, which suited her compassionate nature beautifully.
Melissa enjoyed cooking, gardening, and a good book. She was an avid animal lover and was fond of horses, rabbits, and especially cats. She had her most recent cat, Henry, for many years and would be pleased to know that he has been comfortably re-homed.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Christopher Thompson and wife Cheyanne of Notthingham, NH, her daughter, Deana Ziev and husband Matthew of Rowley, MA, her beloved grandchildren, Ethan Thompson, Haven Thompson, Annabel Ziev, and Josephine Ziev, and many relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
In Lieu of flowers, her children request that donations in Melissa's memory be made to the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society, 63 Elm Street, Salisbury, MA 01952.
