Martin A. Hamilton, Sr.

Martin A. Hamilton, Sr., of Rolfes Lane, Newbury, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2021. He was the husband of the late Alice A. (Crooks) Hamilton. He was born on November 5, 1930 in Boston, MA, son of the late Wesley D. and Gladys (Sabean) Hamilton.

Martin served six years as a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Korean War. He was later employed as both a butcher and an electrician.

For many years he enjoyed acting and singing at the Amesbury Playhouse.

He is survived by his sons, Martin, Jr., Bruce, Brian, and Timothy Hamilton; daughter, Tamara Faulkingham; adopted daughters, Lauri Wood and Lynne Twombly; a stepson, James Cook; several foster children, grandchildren; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by stepchildren Theresa Hennessey and Richard Cook.
