Jeanne M. Brow

Jeanne Brow, of Rowley, MA, passed away peacefully at the age of 68, surrounded by her family in her home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Brow.

She was born in Brighton, MA and raised in Quincy, MA. She lived in Melrose for three years before moving to Rowley in 1978. She was the daughter of the late Robert J. Bishop and the late Kathryn "Cappy" J. (Leahy) Bishop. She was the sister of the late Barbara Molla, Florida, and Elaine Malloy, Quincy.

In her childhood years, Jeanne lived in the Merrymount section of Quincy and attended St. Ann Elementary School, Central Junior High School and Quincy High School. She was crowned "Miss Merrymount" at the annual beauty pageant on July 4, 1968 and was a queen at her junior prom, two pageants she had no intention of entering. It was in her homeroom at Quincy High School that she met Tom Brow whom she would eventually marry on August 15, 1976. They were married for 45 years.

Jeanne studied to become a surgical technician and a registered nurse. She worked in the operating room at the Boston University Medical Center for many years. Her calm demeanor, knowledge, precision, and nursing skills made her a valuable member of the operating room team. Seeking to expand her love of nursing, she later became certified in holistic therapy, massage, and reflexology. She developed a personal interest in lissencephaly and attended national conferences in Indiana.

Jeanne's greatest love was her family. She is survived by her husband Tom Brow and their sons: Tommy III of Rowley, Dustin of Rowley, and the late Casey, who passed away at the young age of 4. She was very fond of animals, especially her dog "Ozzie". She enjoyed reading, flowers, photography, and watching her boys play, swim, and/or participate in sporting events. She also enjoyed her peaceful reflections during her midnight visits to her perennial garden.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11 a.m., at Main Street Cemetery, Rowley.
