Janice J. Kindler, 66, died after a brief illness on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Beverly Hospital. She will be forever missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
Janice was born and raised in Lynn before moving to Rowley in 1992. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She attended the Bryman school after graduation and earned a certification in Dental Assisting.
Prior to retiring in 2022, Janice worked as a dispatcher for Midway, LLC in Seabrook, NH for more than 20 years.
Janice was a passionate gardener, starting flowers, herbs and vegetables from seed and caring for their development during the growing season. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time at their home in Conway, NH. As an avid Patriots fan, she loved to attend games at Gillette Stadium. Holidays, especially Christmas, were special to her and she traditionally entertained family.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, Steven Kindler of Rowley, sons, James Kindler and his partner, Pamela Goldman of Rowley, Jon Kindler, and his fiancée, Carolyn Rusanski of Ipswich, a brother, Edward Golowka of Somerville, a sister, Christine Detzel of Tewksbury, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, John Golowka, Sophia (Dacyczyn) Golowka and brother, Walter Golowka.
Visitation will be held at F.S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, on Monday, May 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
