Janet M. Savage, 51, of Colcord Pond Drive in Exeter, NH, passed away at home on Thursday, September 9, 2021, after a courageous nine-year battle with breast cancer. She was born on August 3, 1970, in Danvers, MA, a daughter of the late David R. and Therese M. (Hissey) Savage.
Janet was previously employed as a retail sales associate at the Salvation Army Family Store in Portsmouth, NH and was beloved by co-workers and customers alike.
She was an avid animal lover, especially dogs and cats. She was a member and active volunteer at the SPCA in Stratham, NH, having received numerous awards for her service. She loved history and in particular the Civil War era. Janet enjoyed vacation trips down South with her sister and had a special fondness for the State of Virginia.
Janet is survived by her sister, Suzanne J. Savage with whom she lived and her brother, David R. Savage of Amsterdam, Holland. Suzanne would like to express a special thanks and much gratitude to Dr. Danny Sims, of the Solinsky Cancer Center in Manchester, NH. He worked tirelessly to guide Janet and provide exceptional care during her cancer journey over the past nine years.
