On the morning of November 19, 2017, William “Billy” J. Thistlewood, Sr., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Billy was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on October 15, 1975 to Peter Thistlewood and Lynne Partridge. He joined his two older brothers, Peter and David, to round out their loving family.  Billy, Peter, and David were inseparable from the start. They enjoyed reenacting their favorite WWE moves on each other, challenging one another with their clam digging skills, but were fiercely protective of each other throughout their lives. Though their Earthly bond has broken, there is no force that will ever break the bond of this trio.

Billy graduated from Whittier Tech in 1993, an all star basketball and football player. He was a manager at Waste Management, creating countless friendships and bonds with the people he met in his 23 years there.

In addition to his parents, he leaves his beloved wife Danielle, his son Tyler and fiancee, Kimmie Martin; his son Logan and girlfriend Sammie Sullivan; his son William Jr.; his daughter Olivia; his brothers Peter and wife, Omayra, David and wife, Stephanie, countless nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Billy”; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are lost without his presence in their lives.

Billy was a kid at heart, creating joy and laughter wherever he went. His infectious laughter and quick wit left everyone in his presence with a smile. For Billy, his life was his family. Whether it be cheering on his children’s sports teams, going to the track with his father Pete, making sure he took time to consistently connect with his immediate and extended family, or popping in to visit his parents, brothers, nieces and nephews. Billy lived a beautiful, happy life and his absence from this world is unfathomable.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, Main Street, Rowley, with a celebration of Billy’s life to follow at the Rowley Veteran's Association Hall, 19 Bradford Street, Rowley, MA.
