Marjorie E. McVey

Marjorie E. (Curran) McVey, 98, of 77 High Street, Newburyport, formerly of Boxford, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018.  She was born on April 5, 1919 in Somerville, MA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Curran. Wife of the late John J. McVey. Marjorie devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting. She is survived by a son, John C. Tiernan of Rowley; three granddaughters, Deborah Stephanides, Laurie Tiernan Cataldo and Jennifer Tiernan; five great-grandchildren, Katrina, Zachary, Nicholas, Amanda and Kristen; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert W. Tiernan, her sister, Dorothy Thompson, and great-grandson, Derek. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Burial will follow at Main Street Cemetery.
