Leona F. Stearns

Leona F. (Gribbin) Stearns, 69, of Central Street, Byfield, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2017. Leona was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on November 12, 1947. Daughter of the late Daniel F. and Grace (French) Gribbin, Jr. Beloved wife of Edward E. Stearns. Leona was employed for 30 years with the IRS, departing as a supervisor in 2003. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Douglas Edward Stearns of Byfield; two daughters, Hope Leigh Becker and her husband Duane of Maine, Johanna Elizabeth Carlson and her husband Jonas of Byfield; cherished grandchildren, Ariana Stearns, Kira, Benjamin, Kaeden Carlson, Maximillian and Rowan Becker. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Calling hours prior to the service, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
