Joseph B. Graham

Joseph Bruce Graham of Haverhill, formerly of Rowley, beloved husband, father, brother, and corny jokester, passed away at his home early on Tuesday, December 12th.  Born in Ipswich on September 11, 1962, the son of the late Gordon and Kathleen Graham, Joe grew up in Rowley, where in high school he excelled as a goaltender for the Triton hockey team. Joe worked as a commercial truck driver for New Hampshire Fisheries, West Lynn Creamery, JN Phillips Glass, and UPS before retiring on disability. Joe was active as a volunteer at the Anna Jacques Hospital for many years and enjoyed interacting and helping visitors. He enjoyed watching sports, and more so playing street hockey and football with his sons in their youths, including drawing up button-hooks and post patterns on his stomach. Joe was best known for his sense of humor, never shying away from making a joke and lightening any situation with his often witty but always cheesy observations.

Joe is remembered with much love by his wife Jeanne of Haverhill; his sons Joseph, Justin and his wife Danielle of Haverhill, and Jared and his wife Melanie of York, Maine; his brothers, Gordon of Peabody, and Thomas of Rowley, and his sister Theresa and her husband Gerry of Deerfield, New Hampshire; his mother-in-law Adolia M. Apt, and various sibling in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his very loved and spoiled dog, Sambone.

Joe is predeceased by his mother and father, Gordon and Kathleen Graham, of Rowley; his father-in-law Elwood Apt, of Brownfield, Maine, and his much adored and well-fed dogs, Ricco and Riley.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley.  Calling hours will be on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pet Tails Rescue in Norwood, New Hampshire and Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, Massachusetts.
