Evelyn L. (Bowman) Walsh, 84, of Grove Street, Topsfield, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, March 5, 2018.
Born in Newburyport, MA on February 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie (Pappas) Bowman. Evelyn was the wife of Edmund T. Walsh.
Prior to retirement she was employed as a home health aide. Evelyn volunteered for 40 years at Boxford-Topsfield Thrift Shop, becoming manager. She was a member of the Franco-American Club in Beverly.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Thomas A. Walsh of Topsfield; two daughters, Mary Martin of West Newbury, Cathy Seale of Rowley; a sister, Mary Reilly of Beverly; nine grandchildren, Ryan and Robyn Maker, Vernon Walsh, Jonathan, Michael and Steven Seale, David and Joseph Martin and John Morgan; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Morgan and sister, Viola White.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. In lieu of flowers contributions to New England Equine Rescue North, Inc., 52 Ash St., W. Newbury, MA, 01985 to help support animals in need, would be appreciated.
