Doris V. Fyrberg

Doris Virginia (Mehaffey) Fyrberg, 90, a long time Rowley resident, formerly of 74 Main Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21,2018 at 123 High Street, Topsfield, MA. Doris was born on May 7, 1927 in lpswich, MA, daughter of the late Ralph E. and Eva M. (Marshall) Mehaffey. She was the wife of the late Theodore B. Fyrberg. Doris was formerly employed in the banking industry. She was a proud member of the First Settlers of Newbury, MA, Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star and the Rowley Historical Society. She is survived by her daughter, Janet E. Fyrberg of Amesbury, her son, David and his wife Sarah Fyrberg of West Newbury, grandsons, Peter and his wife Nancy Fyrberg and their children Oskar and Ruby, and Deke and his wife Kacie Fyrberg and their children Grace, Ted and Emme, all of Rowley, her granddaughter, Kate, of London, England, her sister-in-law, Ruth B. Haris of Ipswich and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 9:00 - l0:00 a.m., at the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Committal prayers and interment will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Main Street Cemetery, Rowley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rowley Historical Society, 233Main Street, Rowley, MA 01969 or to a charity of your choice.
