Carol E. Short

Carol E. (Ward) Short, 79, of 113 Low Street, Newburyport, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2017.

Carol was born on February 4, 1938, daughter of the late William and Katharine (Pearson) Ward. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Short.

She was employed for many years at Georgetown High School. She was a member of Methuen Gospel Hall and was an avid collector.

Carol is survived by three sons, Robert and his wife, Doreen Short of Ossipee, NH, Barry Short of Bow, NH, Javan (Jay) Short of Byfield, MA; a sister, Kathryn Short of Topsfield, MA; six grandchildren; four great-granchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in South Byfield Cemetery.
