Carol A. Ryder

Carol A. (Fernandez) Ryder, 64, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 13, 2017, with her three loving children, husband and parents by her side. She was the beloved wife of William Ryder, her best friend in life.  Born in Gloversville, NY on July 23, 1952, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna (De Santis) Fernandez. Carol was a loving wife and mother who adored her three daughters and cared deeply for her family. She was a fun and loyal friend with an infectious spirit, and was passionate about every task she took on. In her final days, she felt great comfort in knowing she would soon see her dogs Chardonnay and McCartney in heaven. Besides her husband and parents, Carol is survived by her three daughters who she called the loves of her life; Alissa and husband Ken Christie of Newburyport, MA, Deanna and husband Scott Shelley of Georgetown, MA, Kelli and husband Chris Wallace of Georgetown, MA and her six grandchildren whom she called her angels, Kaitlyn and Kamryn Christie, Brayden and Abigail Shelley, and Elliana and Lucas Wallace. Additional family includes a brother, Frank Fernandez of Johnstown, NY; a sister, Cathy Martin of Gloversville, NY; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, who she cherished. Calling hours will be on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at F.S Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, MA. A funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 20 at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Mary Church, 202 Main St., Rowley, MA.
