Stanley “Starsh” Joseph Pikul Jr. of Peabody passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 6, 2024, at the age of 73. He will be forever missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Stanley was born on January 6, 1951, in Ipswich to the late Stanley and Bertha (Kowalski) Pikul. He grew up in Rowley and went to Newburyport High School. He graduated from Bridgewater State with a bachelor’s in history. Although he held several different jobs in his life, he was most proud of being a security guard at Lahey Clinic in Peabody for over 13 years.
Stanley was a kind, charitable, and dependable person. In his free time, he enjoyed watching car races, especially dirt car racing. He was also passionate about watching high school and college football as well as pro wrestling.
Stanley belonged to the following organizations: Peabody Knights of Columbus, Fr. Gabrielle Druillette Assembly 4th degree K of C, Golden Rule Lodge A.F. & A.M, Washington Royal Arch Chapter, Salem-Zebulun Council of Royal and Select Master Masons, Winslow-Lewis Commandry #18 Knights Templar, AAONMS Aleppo Shriners, MOVPER Taleb Grotto, Scottish Rite Valley of Boston, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Massasoit Forest #91, Tontoquon Chapter No. 100, Warren G. Harding Court No. 5 Order of the Amaranth, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Haverhill Shrine #1, and Independent Order of Odd Fellows Fraternity Lodge #118.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Lucy Pikul, and his son, Stanley Pikul III. He is also survived by his siblings Janet Blanchette of Rowley, Eugene & Donna Pikul of Kensington, NH, and Daniel Pikul of Rowley as well as godson William Blanchette III, “daughter” Jane Rhodes, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Sharon Rogers.
Calling hours will be on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 4 -7 p.m., at F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, MA. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10 am at Saint Mary Parish, 202 Main Street, Rowley.
