Muriel Ruth (Chase) Consigli, 98, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024. Muriel was born in Newburyport, MA, on January 21, 1926, to Charles Chase and Ruth (Rowe) Chase of Seabrook N.H.
Muriel graduated from Amesbury High School in 1944 and thereafter went to work in Newburyport at Art Jewelers, Puritans and local optometrists Drs. Murdy, Watts, Appleton and Rines and at the family monument company.
Muriel was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family more than anything. She put her heart and soul into every birthday, family, and neighborhood party. The backyard pool was a common gathering place for many friends and families. She enjoyed games, but hated to lose, and was tough to beat at poker, hearts, Scrabble, and the family favorite 45. She also enjoyed reading, interior design, (she missed her calling), and traveling. She loved her pets too.
Muriel was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Consigli, her beloved grandson, John Marshall, and siblings, Charles Chase, Raymond Chase, George Chase and Jane Andrews Chase.
Muriel is survived by her son John Consigli and his wife Sylvia Lebel Consigli, her daughter Lisa Consigli Marshall and her husband Bruce Marshall, and her son Peter Consigli and his wife Kathleen Hawkes Consigli. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their families: Robert Marshall and his wife Christine Marshall, Joshua Marshall and his wife Jennifer Marshall, Erin Consigli Lavalley and her husband Jeffrey Lavalley, Joseph Consigli and his wife Itzia Consigli, Robyn Consigli Beaton and her husband Thomas, Kali Consigli, Matthew Consigli, Jeffrey Consigli and his wife Victoria Consigli and John Consigli. She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren: Nate, Vivian, Liam, Colin, Mila, Connor, Jackson, Olivia, Caroline, Allison and Madelyn.
We also would like to remember the families that touched our lives: The Lyons, Stevens, Potters, Sarkissians, Brennans, Martins, Parks, Malioneks and Randalls and send a special thank you to Tim and Lisa Brennan and Dan and Rochelle Malionek for all the help and care you bestowed upon Mom. We would also thank her brother-in -law Gordon Andrews for being such a great friend to Mom.
Our family was truly blessed!
