ROWLEY: Ruth H. (Larsen) Rose, 95, of Rowley passed away Saturday evening at the Country Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newburyport. She was the widow of Albert T. Rose, Sr.
Born May 24, 1915, Mrs. Rose was the daughter of the late Carl and Ane Kristine (Olsen) Larsen. She was the last surviving sibling of ten.
Mrs. Rose was loved by and enjoyed her family greatly. Her interests ranged from spinning, knitting and weaving to flower arranging; and she loved to cook and bake. She had a quiet elegance about her, and one of the areas in which she expressed this was in her delicious meals, prepared with seemingly effortlessness. She also took much pleasure in tending her garden.
Mrs. Rose was a member and past treasurer of the Rowley Golden Age.
She is survived by her children: Albert T. Rose Jr. and his wife Corinne of Nova Scotia; Lois Rose of France and Nancy Pacenka and her husband George of Rowley; She leaves four grandchildren: Paul Lockwood, and wife Lily, Kimberly Simons and husband Jay, Nerissa Wallen and husband Andrew, and George Pacenka,III and wife Katherine; as well as two great-grandchildren, Liam Wallen and Lillian Pacenka.
By her request there will be no services. Donations in her memory may be made to the Rowley Council On Aging, 39 Central Street, Rowley, MA 01969. Arrangements by the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home of Rowley.
