Robert E. “Bob” Wilson, age 71, of Salisbury died in the Anna Jacques Hospital Tuesday evening, June 15, 2010 following a long illness. He and his wife Mary (Stone) Wilson had shared 50 loving years together and were true soul mates.
Born in Lexington, MA, January 12, 1939 the son of the late Fredrick and Dora Wilson he was raised in Waltham and educated in Waltham High School. After Serving in the Massachusetts National Guard, Mr. Wilson joined the United States Navy, serving two tours of duty.
Following his discharge he became employed in the electronics industry at Printed Circuit Boards in Waltham and later by General Electric at the Everett plant until his retirement. A Charter member of the Rowley Jaycees, he was also a member of the Odd Fellows, originally in Maine. Most of all, Mr. Wilson loved to walk the beaches of Newburyport with his wife, spend time with his family and constantly share his great sense of humor.
Mr. Wilson is survived by three children Robert E. Wilson, II of CA, Keith Wilson of Salisbury, and Keri Wilson of Merrimack, NH,; his brothers and sisters Judith Farrar of MA, William Wilson of ME, Alice Perry of MA and Steven Wilson of MA; a granddaughter Nicole and many nieces and nephews.
