ROWLEY: Miriam R. (Ricker) Marshall, 89, of Rowley, passed away Friday afternoon at the Caldwell Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ipswich. She was the widow of R. Arnold Marshall.

Mrs. Marshall was born in Rowley, April 19, 1920, daughter of the late Howard A. and Nellie (Bubier) Ricker.

Miriam was directly involved with setting up the new cafeteria and was the manager of the school cafeteria at the Triton Regional School at retirement, and had previously been the manager of the school cafeteria’s for the Pine Grove School and the Ezekiel Rogers School, both in Rowley.

She loved to travel to Colebrook , NH and she spent her winters in Florida. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Miriam is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Dale Marshall, Jr. of Columbia, NH; her daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Stuart Dalzell of Rowley; a sister, Ruth Ricker of Rowley; five grandchildren; Stuart L. Dalzell, Jr. and wife Mary Clare, Peter M. Dalzell, David A. Dalzell and companion Beth, Daniel R. Marshall and wife Christine, Kathryn M. Cyr and husband Jon. Also six great-grandchildren, Courtney and Caitlyn Marshall, Hayden and Shelby Cyr and Michael and S. Lee Dalzell III. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Howard A. Ricker, Jr. and her sister, Barbara Ricker, both of Rowley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00AM in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Burial will be in the Main Street Cemetery. A period of visitation will be held on Monday evening 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to the First Congregational Church, 171 Main Street,Rowley, MA 01969.
