BEVERLY – Ida M. (Bratt) Johnson of Beverly, formerly of Ipswich and Lynn died on August 25, 2015 at age 100. She was the widow of Lawrence S. Johnson.

She was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Cecilia (Swanson) Bratt.

Ida was employed as an administrative assistant for the Federal Government for many years, retiring in 1973. Ida was a musician, playing the piano and organ, singing in choirs, at weddings and other events. She enjoyed playing scrabble, was an insatiable crossword puzzler, and had a long-time love affair with chocolate.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Wanda Youngren of VA, Anita Charpentier of Ipswich, Linda Diller of CA; 5 grandchildren, Kristine Masse, Erik Youngren. David Youngren, Gigi Bizar, Joshua Diller; 7 great-grandchildren: Kara Masse, Amanda Masse, Kevin Masse, Anna Youngren, Jeffrey Youngren, Mark Youngren, Izzie Bizar; nieces Judy McClatchy and Nancy McMullen. She was predeceased by her brother Leonard R. Bratt; sisters, Edith Herald and Vera McMullen and grandson Aaron. She had been lovingly cared for by her friend of many years, Patti Newhall.
